Shiwukeng Village is the third batch of Chinese traditional village, which is located in Xiuning County, Huangshan City. Known as the “cradle of revolution in Southern Anhui”, Shiwukeng Village can be described as one of the red tourism destinations. Located at the north foot of Liugujian by the river on the border of Anhui and Jiangxi, Shiwukeng Village is surrounded by mountains and built according to the mountain terrain with an exquisite layout. There is a number of lanes laid with bricks in the village, around which there are mountains, jungles, towering old trees, as well as historical buildings mainly including Site of CPC Provincial Committee of Anhui, Zhejiang, and Jiangxi (provincial reserve), commanding headquarter of Xiaolingtou Battle, the Red Army House and a dozen of other buildings during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In addtion, the village riches in intangible cultural heritage such as farming of cold water fish, dragon dancing, and mountain bee keeping.
